It protects and protects and protects - the Twist is one of the best-selling sports glasses on the market. And not without reason: since its introduction, it has set standards in terms of wearing comfort, adaptation and design. Twist Zero was the name of the first model in 2005.
Sport glasses are now in their fifth generation - and the Twist Five HR VL+ continues their own success story.
The half-frame version Twist Five HR VL+ is equipped with the high-end lens technology Varioflex. This gives it an enormous field of application and makes it an outstanding pair of sports glasses for all light and weather conditions. The lenses optimally adjust the tint to the lighting conditions (photochromatic). They cover the protection levels Cat. 1 to 3. Fogstop prevents fogging of the lens. With the inclinable temples the glasses can be adapted individually to the face form. 100% UV protection is provided at all times. The Twist Five HR VL+ is the perfect pair of glasses - for any weather, for any sport.
Varioflex is a disc technology in which the tint of the disc automatically adapts to the weather. The self-tinting (photochromic) screen reacts to visible light. When irradiated, chemical elements open and produce a flat, darkening effect. If the light intensity decreases, the chemical elements close and the disc becomes brighter again. This process takes place in a matter of seconds. The result: one disc for the most varied lighting conditions.
Fogstop is a coating on the inside of the lenses. The coating is not smooth, but rough - even "fissured" on a microscopic level. As a result, the droplets have no possibility of forming a closed layer, i.e. fogging up and thus obscuring the view. This would only happen if the moisture managed to fill the fissures with water. Before this happens, however, the deposited moisture has long since condensed and visibility remains clear.
